What you need to know about me!
Where do I begin? From a young age, I found myself drawn to spaces where expression flourished, where narratives unfolded through various artistic forms. It was the realm of video editing that initially captured my fascination, as I marveled at the ability to weave together disparate clips to create compelling narratives. Experimenting with Photoshop and immersing myself in the broadcasting course at my high school further fueled my passion. Theatre, dance, and the creation of short films soon began to shape my artistic endeavors.
Seeking to expand my horizons, I seized the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of film through UNCSA’s 5-Week Filmmaking Intensive Program. There, I honed my skills from scriptwriting and nonlinear editing to camera operation and audio production. This immersive experience propelled me to pursue a degree in Film & Television Production BFA at Western Carolina University, where I delved into these subjects with fervor and dedication.
As the years progressed, my fascination with visual storytelling evolved, encompassing both photography and videography. In my spare time, I eagerly immersed myself in these disciplines, constantly refining my craft. From capturing family and newborn portraits to exploring the beauty of nature, each project became an opportunity for growth and learning.
During my role as a camera operator for the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, I captured live footage of gaming events. This opportunity pushed me beyond my comfort zone, instilling in me a sense of confidence and determination to continually challenge myself although I wouldn’t exactly call myself a baseball fan.
Beyond my creative pursuits, several qualities define my character and approach to life. I embody a sense of optimism and kindness, coupled with a steadfast commitment to integrity and honesty. I approach every interaction with respect and accountability, striving to exceed expectations and uphold the trust bestowed upon me. In moments of uncertainty, I seek wisdom and guidance from experienced mentors, recognizing the value of learning from others.
Creatively, I possess an innate eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. Every project I undertake is guided by the question of what story I aim to convey, as I endeavor to capture the essence of each individual’s journey through my artistic lens. In essence, my journey in the realm of creative arts has been one of continuous exploration, growth, and self-discovery. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with others through creative expression and capturing lasting memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
